Monitor Woofer Size?

I was wondering what the best woofer size in a studio monitor is.

Depends on what frequency response you're looking for. 6 to 6.5" drivers will take you down possibly to 60-80Hz. an 8" driver might take you down another octave to around 40Hz. If you're looking for excellent bottom end without being muddy, and discoloring your near fields, look to getting a separate sub.
