Headphone Soldering Question

I accidentally pulled the wiring out of my good studio headphone plug; I am looking at three wires-I think that the red and white wires should be soldered to the two rings (one wire to one ring) and the brown wire should be soldered to the sleeve.
Is this correct?

Color coding of wires will differ from item to item. You can call the manufacturer and maybe find out, or (what I would do) is either make a guess and try it, open the back of the cups and look, or get out my multimeter and check the resistance. The two wires that are the "hot" for to the two drivers should have a nearly infinite resistance between them. Those would get wired to the tip and ring of your plug. Hard to tell which would be right or left, but again trial and error will be a quick solution.
