Overmodulation in Pro tools le

Hey guys I am using Pro tools Le version and every now and then I send mp3 files that are arriving on the other side overmodulated. They sound fine on my end but for some reason they do not end up that way.

Is there a quick fix I can make on my end without recording the piece again?

I have lowered the mix volume and bounced the files once more but I am not sure if that helps. I will know eventually from the other side.

Any thoughts.

I'm assuming that by 'overmodulated' you mean clipped or distorted. ProTools doesn't 'modulate' anything.

Did you dither your master fader output to 16 bit?
