AW2816 output patch problem on one song, all other songs OK

I have been routing previously recorded vocal tracks through the Omni Out Jacks into an ATR-1 to correct pitch problems. The ouput of the ATR-1 is
being recorded on a new track. This has worked
well for several songs, but on one particular song
when I push record and play, the patch designation
of RDR1 automatically reverts to AUX1 as soon as
recording begins. No signal is reaching the ATR-1
because the meter level lights are not flashing.
I have not moved the physical cables, and I have
no idea why the routing does not work on this song, but does work on every other song I have tried. I tried copying the vocal track to another
empty track, and the same problem occurred when
I tried to route the vocal through the output patch. Any suggestions?

Todd at Sweetwater Technical support called Yamaha
about this problem, and a Yamaha technician called
me back the same afternoon. He knew immediately that my problem was that the song in question had an automix recorded. The automix somehow interfers with the patch instructions. As soon as I disabled (temporarily) the automix, the patch (RDR1) sent the vocal on track 1 to the ATR-1.
