multitrack recording using FireFace 400 or 800

hello all,

i'm about to purchase FireFace either 400 or 800 or the new Mackie Satellite.

i will use it mostly for multitrack recording using any of the available PC software in the market: audition 2, cubase, etc.

the question is.......can the firewire device (FF or Satellite) do multitrack recording if i send the input signal to DAW?

example,

mic 1 > FF > DAW track 1
mic 2 > FF > DAW track 2
line 1 > FF > DAW track 3
line 2 > FF > DAW track 4
etc.
etc.

i need at least 6 tracks record simultaneously.

The Satellite will only give you 2 simultaneous channels. The Fireface will give you well more than 6. Call us and talk to a Sales Engineer for more info, (800) 222-4700.
