I run Windows XP-sp2 tweaked for DAW use. I have heard good things about "Registry Cleaner" by SoftwareOnline.com. Has anyone got good or bad things to say about this product before I purchase and use?

I'm not a fan of it at all. It's not very user friendly, has some issues with integration, and just doesn't run as well as some of it's competitors. I'd recommend "WinXP Manager" by Yamicsoft.com
It's $10 cheaper, and does 10 times more...J

I'm wary of these type of programs. Make sure you check them out on some established software review sites or magazines first.
I rember I ran a registry optimizer tool a few years back that ended up corrupting my XP install. It took me a week to figure out what all it messed up. The worst part was that one of the optimizations the author thought was good was disabling the system restore option. So it changed a bunch of registry values and I had no way to go back to a restore point. I had to do everything manually.
