apogee psx 100 and protools mbox

wondering if anyone could confirm that this will work. I currently have protools Mbox and i'm trying to improve the quality of my tracks by getting the apogee psx 100 and bypassing the mbox converters via spdif. When i go ahead and record on the protools software is that recording going to share the same quality as the apogee converters or will it be the protools mbox quality?

Yes, it's possible...it will share the Apogee's coverters and use it as the master clock. You just need to go into Pro Tools and select who's clock you want to use for the sync.
