GLOW!!! I NEED a TUBE PREAMP that can make my U87 GLOW!

I'm a recording engineer who is working with a singer that doesn't want to use any microphone other than my Neumann U87. I'm looking to buy a tube preamp that will basically make my U87 "glow" for this project, because I would rather use a tube mic so I am after that sound. And when I say glow, to me, that is what really great vintage tube mics can do to the sound. They impart this aural "glow" to the sound--it's like a warmth in the bottom end and a brilliant sheen on the top end, that makes vocals "GLOW." I am looking for a tube preamp that can do this for me. Maybe something with an EF86 tube in it. Yeah, can someone make me a transformerless tube pre with an EF86, and also add tube drive functions so I can add the amount of tube saturation.

Can someone please give some detailed advice on what can do this for me, I need to find this tube pre ASAP!

Before I can really help you out, I need to understand why this artist is so persistent against using a tube microphone! They aren't the recording engineer, you are! I suggest you do a mic shootout and see which one really sounds the best for that particular voice and specific song.

The artist only wants to use my U87 because of past success using this mic. Please don't worry about the singer. Please help with my dilemma. I cannot change the singer's mind. Still looking for a tube preamp that can make my U87 "Glow."
