I am using the AD/D/A converters in a DA-88 via a Tascam PCI-88 to dump audio to my HD.
Sound is good, and everything works.

Would I get ANY better sound by purchasing a Motu,Aardvark unit?

Thanks
Jeff

The "sound" isn't necessarily going to improve by switching this hardware. It's already digital, and assuming something bad isn't happening on the way in, it isn't going to change just by going to a different interface. However, Aardvark and MOTU both make external clocking devices that could potentially improve your sound at the DA-88. The Aardvark in particular is known for making a pretty significant difference in sound quality, even on high end Pro Tools rigs.

Speaking of "high-end Pro Tools rigs"..................

Im using DA88 ADDA converters, into a 80gig HD powered by a Dell
800mhz PIII computer. Using Cakewalk Sonar XL software.

What has Pro Tools got over this setup?

Thanks
