Hi everyone...I'm new here, and everyone seems to be so knowledgable I figure I'd take this opportunity to pick your brains.
I have a Gateway (yeah yeah, I know...) Athlon 750MHz with 256MB RAM, Win XP Pro, and a Hercules Game Theater XP sound card with a breakout box. To the box I have a Fatar 49-key MIDI controller connected in hopes of sending MIDI info to CakeWalk Proaudio 9. My problem is that I'm not getting a MIDI signal into CakeWalk from the keyboard. I have the MIDI In cable from the joystick port plugged into the MIDI Out port on the keyboard (there is only one MIDI port on the keyboard, BTW). I'm thinking it's a software misconfiguration on my part, but everything seems to be right. Any ideas, or any tips on incompatibilities in my setup, would be much appreciated.
