Hi all,
I send this problem before, but I can't solve it.
Last week, I received two Roland RPC-1 R-BUS (PCI) cards. I installed the Roland (Midiman) drivers (MME, ASIO and EASI) without any problems on a fresh installed Windows ME system. I started with just one card. Checked all settings, the card has it's own IRQ, no memory conflicts etc. I tried Sound Forge v. 5.0 to play a wave file to the Roland Digital mixer VM-C7200, no problem. I loaded ACID 3.0 Pro and created different tracks on different ASIO outputs, also no problem playing back the audio to my Roland mixer. Some other applications had success also, but after starting Logic Audio Platinum 4.8.1 and while LAWP was initializing, the Roland mixing console gave a message (R-BUS unconnected). So after loading some audio in LAWP and played it back, no sound coming in on the mixer via it's R-BUS connections. I tried all audio drivers (MME, EASI and ASIO) in Logic but still the same results, every time Logic starts the Roland mixer tells me that the R-BUS is unconnected. After closing Logic and starting b.e. ACID Pro 3.0, creating some tracks to different ASIO outputs, pressing play, no sound coming in on the mixer via it's R-BUS connections. I had to shut down my computer and restart it to re-connect the R-BUS card to the Roland mixer. So, after starting Logic the R-BUS is disconnected and stays disconnected until restarting the PC. Till now, still no luck. I spend 4 or 5 evenings about this problem. Reinstalling Windows, reinstalling the card, drivers, tried different combinations of settings, but no luck with Logic. All other applications are working fine. I have no other applications open while running Logic, red the manual 1000 times etc.
The problem is that three parties are involved in this problem;
Roland for the RPC-1 card (support@rolandus.com or ps@roland.be )
MIDI man for the drivers (alex@midiman.net)
Emagic for the application.
I am corresponding with all three parties and tried all the solutions they offered, but still no luck.
Is there anybody who has the same WORKING configuration as I do? I mean, Logic Audio Platinum 4.8.1, a Roland RPC-1 PCI card and Roland VM-C7200 plus 2 Roland VM-7200 processors?
Thanks in advance .
