Hi I just moved into this new house. I want to put a small recording studio upstairs. There two rooms, a hall area and a small bathroom.
The first room is 10 x 13, the second is 8.5 x 13.5. and i also have some space(6 x 4) in the hall, maybe a vocal booth.
Anyway do you guys think thats enough space to work with.

Which room sould I use for the control room?

How big does a room have to be to get a good sound for a drum set?

How far do my monitors need to be from the wall?

All rooms are 8 feet tall. So it a pretty small area but its all for personal use. I also might go with the roland V-Drums instead of a live kit(if i can come up with the money).

Also how should I treat the walls.
My music is played mostly live. Some computer based stuff. I use logic.
I have two Keybords, a couple of guitars, bass, some horns, perc.things and a drum set.
Im just not sure what will sound best.
Please let me know what to watch out for..Let me know what you think, THANKS;)
