hard drive how to

I'm new to Pro Tools Mbox and know that I'm not to use my system drive for my audio files but I don't know how to assign to my (brand new) external hard drive unit. Sounds easy enough but I don't want to screw up before I even get started recording. Thanks for any help.

If you are this new to ProTools I'd highly recommend that you buy a book (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PTClinic/)to help you along. Or, something similar.

Start your session on the non-system drive and off you go.

When you create a new session, at new it gives you a folders option. Browse to your external hard drive and get it poppin'.
