U can always set them back to default I believe...
I need more info about your rig to help you..
how many I/O's do you have. what interfaces. Console? Outboard gear? Are you mixing ITB?

I have a G4 using ox10 with Pro tools 7.0 and an mbox 2, with an external hardrive.
Tried the default setting, it didn't work and I am still not getting any levels on my meter.
If you can provide any help that would be great
Thanks

I solved my Record level issue. I was wondering if you can provide some insight into something else.
Again I am working with a Mac g4 with Pro tools 7.0 and an Mbox2.
When I set up my pro tools session, it's a mono session because it's just me recording my audio. I am saving the session, then bouncing it to a disk and then choosing the stereo interleaved button and then burning my session onto a disc. all this time I am thinking that I have a stereo session 128 kbps only to find out when I put it on to a different system, that it's actually coming out as a mono wave format at 64 kpbs.
What am I doing wrong?

How many tracks are you recording?
When you bounce to disk, bounce a stereo interleaved, .wav file. Make sure your source is the same as your mix output (1/2), not just 1 or 2.
Also, if you just record 1 mono signal, then bounce it as a stereo file, it'll still sound mono. The music will be coming from both speakers at the same level (panned center, it sends the signal at the same volume out both speakers, thus placing it in the center).
Panning is all volume related.
