hi! i'm a newbie. I was wondering if there is any software or websites that let you take the music you have recorded into your computer and put it up to be traded with other people or lets people add onto your music? that would be neat to have online collaboration (i think)
thanks!

basically if you know people online, you can exchange files via high quality mp3, which is an easy way to collaborate. i know a lot of people who do this, especially with more and more people having high speed connections, you can even trade wav files if you've both got fast connections. all the guys i know from the record label hang out online on irc (which is an old-school internet relay chat) and exchange files, etc.

This is a service hosted by several companies. The largest and most credible is Rocket Network. You should be able to do a basic search on any major engine and find this. It may require some software and perhaps better software than you are using now. Logic and ProTools both have agreements with Rocket that allow this type of collaberation at different levels.
