I've been playing around with a phase oscilliscope in my studio and am curious to understand what I'm seeing. Aside from it being fun to watch, I'm wanting to actually use it in my mastering process to help eliminate any phase problems I may have. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to interpret what the oscilliscope is showing me.

Can someone provide a synposis of interpreting a phase oscilliscope display, ie. what's bad and what's good in terms of what I'm seeing on the display.

Hi Duslow
I have used a dual trace oscilloscope to verify or see if two signals are in
phase. You need to use a signal generator to feed the various inputs, and
use the sync from the generator to the external sync input on the scope.
If you see this reply you can e-mail me for more help. I do have one question though. What is the brand and model of phase oscilloscope you are using. To be able to see if a mic is wired out of phase is a little more
interesting to do. My e-mail is lynns@lakewebs.net
