motu 828?

what comments do any of y'all have
concerning this device?

i got a an 828 recently, but have
noticed that it clicks/pops whenever
a new app that uses audio is opened
it also clicks/ops a couple of times
when the machine (mac dual533) is
turned on... the only devices connected
to the 828 is (input) a mixer (vestax05) and turntables,
and (output) amp/receiver...

any ideas of how to stop this clicking?

You should always turn off/down your amp/speakers when you're powering up your computer. The noises you hear when you turn it on aren't necessarily unique to the 828. When you're powering up your system you should always turn your monitoring system on last, and when your'e powering down it should be the first thing you turn off.

You can disable sound manager driver so that the audio of the various applications you can posibly run on your computer go out through the Internal sound system.
In this case you would only use Motu 828 with your audio software. (DP3, Audiodesk etc...)
