The Inventor, The Engineer, The Producer
Roger Nichols' discography is long and distinctive, but just as impressive are his credits for inventing direct-to-disk recording, implementing the first digital drum replacement, and many other inventions and technical achievements in the pro audio field as well as in other scientific fields. He was also a noted educator and author, penning columns and articles in publications for pro audio and other fields.
