For more than two decades, master guitar builder Paul Reed Smith has been creating amazing-sounding, gorgeous guitars that play great right out of the case. His instruments have become favorites of some of the hottest players out there, and several notable artists have their own PRS models, including Carlos Santana, David Grissom, Johnny Hiland, and Dave Navarro. Smith was kind enough to sit down with us and share his thoughts on building great electric guitars, his reverence for the history of the instrument and its pioneers, and insights into what has made PRS such a success.
