Getting Started
It’s easy to get started doing podcasts! Assuming you have a computer, you only need three things:
1. A way to get sound into your computer — The internal mic on a laptop may work, but a better solution is a good mic. Two great microphone solutions are the Samson C01U and Blue Snowball, both of which plug straight into your computer using USB — it doesn’t get much easier than that!
2. A way to hear what you’ve recorded — Headphones work fine! Audio-Technica makes a number of great models; we like the ATH-M2X because they sound great and are very inexpensive.
3. Some sort of audio software to record — For you first podcasting experiments, free software is probably fine. Audacity for Mac and Windows, Garageband for Mac, and many others are available that will do the job for you.

Podcasting Power
To upgrade the quality of your podcasts, upgrade your gear! A mixer will help you combine signals for blending backgrounds with voiceovers or for bringing CDs into your podcast. Monitor speakers will give you a better idea of what your podcast will sound like, and closed-back headphones will help isolate the sound you hear from the sound that’s being recorded by your mic. More powerful software will give you increased editing and processing capabilities to take your podcast to new audio heights.

Our Customers Say...

My Sales Engineer is the best. If I need it tomorrow, I have it tomorrow. He makes sure everything is in order and that I'm set up right. I've spent a lot of money at other places, too, but I don't remember them calling me to make sure everything's okay.
