The Korg MR-1 differs from many other handheld recorders in two important ways. First, it offers the pristine fidelity and flexibility of 1-bit technology (used for the SACD format), which makes it an excellent choice for location recording, broadcast journalism, live music performances - even for rehearsals and song-writing sessions. Second, the MR-1 records to a 20GB hard drive, which allows up to 31 hours of stereo recording at CD quality. The MR-1 actually supports multiple recording formats including DSDIFF, DSF, and WSD 1-bit formats, as well as multi-bit PCM format (BWF) with resolutions up to 24-bit/192kHz.
