Les Paul
The Gibson Les Paul is arguably the most recognized guitar of all time — and for good reason. It's seen time in the hands of heralded guitarists, including Eric Clapton; Duane Allman; Jimmy Page; Slash; and, of course, Les Paul. The sound comes from a combination of the mahogany body, the maple top, and the hot humbucking pickups (though, when the Les Paul was first introduced, P-90s were used). The Les Paul has seen several distinct incarnations over the years, but the design has remained largely unchanged since its introduction. Gibson's Les Paul is a true classic that changed music forever.
