Dan Fisher

Master sound designer and Kurzweil VAST guru, Dan Fisher graduated
Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Music Production and Engineering
as well as Cum Laude
with a Bachelors Degree in Music Synthesis from Berklee College. After spending
several years as a Soundware Engineer for Kurzweil Music Systems he went on
to become the Director of Soundware Engineering at Sweetwater
Sound and headed the
creation of over 20 CD-ROMs and synth programs for Kurzweil, Alesis, Korg,
E-MU, Yamaha, and TC Electronic. He is currently an "Associate Professor of Music
Synthesis" at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. and also designs
user interfaces for Web-based applications for a financial company in downtown
Boston.
During his years at Sweetwater, Dan was in charge of the creation
of some of the best-selling soundware libraries ever created
for Kurzweil's VAST series
keyboards including the K-Series keyboard workstations. Most recently, Dan
put the finishing touches on Sweetwater's new Grand
Piano CD, V. 3 which includes three gigantic grand pianos for

with Dan
and ask him a few questions
relating to these libraries, VAST technology and more.
