Native Instruments Battery Shortcut
12/05/2008

If you happen to have a lot of pre-recorded MIDI files of drum parts that you like and want to continue using, you can easily import them into the DAW of your choice, then connect the MIDI track to Native Instrument's Battery software, with a kit loaded up and ready to go. You would then use the piano roll editor or the drum editor in your sequencer (depending upon which one you are using) to assign these parts to the individual "cells" within Battery. However, it may be far simpler and faster to just reorder the cells in Battery to match the MIDI parts. It all depends on how you prefer to work.
