This is relatively simple, and can be of great assistance in many situations.

To Boot into OSX from OS9:
1.Quit all applications.
2.Go under the Apple Menu, then to Control Panels, then choose "Startup
Disk"
3.Now click one time on the OSX Icon.
4.Now hit the "Restart" Button.
5. That's it! The Mac will reboot and you will running in OSX.

To Boot into OS9 from OSX:
1.Quit all applications.
2.Go under the Apple Menu, then to System Preferences.
3.Choose "startup Disk"
4.Choose the OS9 Icon and hit the "Save and Restart" button.
