Loading AIFF files problem

Q: In trying to load some AIFF files into Kontakt (via dragging an AIFF file from the browser window into the mapping editor), the program asks for the "found sample" as though it can't locate the file.

A: The error message is a bit misleading. It means that you are probably trying to load a file in compressed AIFF format. Kontakt does not support compressed formats. Kontakt can only load integer (uncompressed) AIFF formats. In order to load the files, convert them to an uncompressed AIFF format.
