Back up your data (especially before you check the ROM version of your XV-5080)
11/13/2000

Warning: We've learned that checking the ROM version in the new Roland XV-5080 causes a hard reset to be performed, wiping out the contents of RAM. Roland has logged this and expects an update to resolve the problem. In the meantime, before checking your software version, make sure that whatever's in RAM has been safely backed up first. Of course you would always have your RAM backed up at all times, wouldn't you?
