Long periods of delay when installing Pro Tools software
10/10/2000

Those of you installing Pro Tools software on your machine for the first time may encounter a problem we've seen on quite a few G3 and G4 computers. The program may require up to an hour (we've even heard reports of people waiting several hours) to bring up the screen where you type in the authorization number. While it's doing this there will be no meaningful activity on the screen. You just have to wait for it. Digidesign is aware of the problem and are working to solve it. This and other authorization issues can be tracked at their FAQ page on the subject.
