Q: What does the "True-Z" input on the new Digidesign Eleven Rack do?

A: The True-Z input on the Eleven Rack is an instrument-level input that features analog circuitry that replicates the input impedance of a classic stompbox/guitar amp. Using this input, you will get the same touch response and tone as you'd get plugging into an amp or pedal — many other amp modeling systems simply use a direct input for the guitar, which doesn't take into account the relationship between the guitar's pickups and the amp's/effects' input.
