Adding Rhythmic Motion to a Logic ES2 Patch
07/29/2008

It's actually quite easy to add some rhythmic animation to a patch created within Apple Logic Pro's ES2's synth module. Just use the tempo-syncable LFO! In the lower half of the LFO 2 Rate slider (which is to the right of the waveform selector), you are able to access rates that are based on divisions of the overall tempo. That means you can select 1/64th triplets all the way up to a 32-bar oscillation. By using a sawtooth wave patched to the filter or even the amplitude, you can get a chugging, sequencer-driven type effect.
