Speeding up importing files from CD-ROM to MV-8000.

Q: "How can I speed up importing files from CD-ROM to the hard drive of my Roland MV-8000?"

A: This is going to sound really basic, but the MV-8000 ships with 128mb of RAM. If you have a full 700mb CD, this will take you roughly 6 times of importing to your project and saving to hard drive before the whole CD is copied to the hard drive (700 divided by 128 = 5.47 passes). Simple though it may be, to reduce the number of passes to 2, you can upgrade the memory to a maximum of 512mb. Many CDs are not entirely full (roughly less than 50 minutes of audio), 512mb of RAM would be sufficient to load all the audio data in a single pass in this case.
