Incomplete KOMPLETE Installation
04/14/2008

Q: I'm having a problem installing Native Instruments KOMPLETE on my Mac. It gets to a certain point and then quits. Any suggestions?

A: It would be good to know where the installation hangs up. Try this: Rather than using the Easy Install feature, choose Custom Install. Then install one component after the other, perhaps starting in alphabetic order with ABSYNTH. Eventually you'll find out which module is giving you problems. You may already have some version of a particular program installed, which can hang up the Easy Install. Sometimes all that's required is to go into the Home library and see if there is a file already there for the specific program (such as Pro53). Remove the file called (for example) Pro-53.plist and that may fix it.
