In Logic Pro 7, you have the option to save the song you're working on as a "Project." There are definitely advantages to doing this, particularly if you use more than one computer - say both a laptop and a desktop - to work on your productions.

When you save as a Project, you're given the option to collect everything associated with the song into a single Project folder that can be easily transferred to another computer, making it easy to open the song up and pick up where you were working.

You can automatically collect the following with your song into the project folder:

• audio files associated with the song

• sampler instruments and samples used by the song

• Ultrabeat samples

• Impulse responses

• Any associated movie/QuickTime files

• Audio files that aren't used in the Arrange window (such as alternate takes or takes removed from the Arrange window)

• Freeze files
