Are Sweetwater's Creation Station computers Vista-compatible?
02/01/2007

Absolutely, all of Sweetwater's Creation Stations are Vista-compatible!

The TowerLE and TowerPlus models are "Vista-capable" - they will run Vista, but not the full "Aero" glass interface in 3D mode; some other "premium" features may also be unavailable.- You get the same new Vista look, but without the 3D effects and "eye candy." We do have an optional video card available that will support the full Aero interface on these machines. We recommend upgrading the RAM in TowerLE and TowerPlus models to 1GB or more as well for Vista use.

The rest of Sweetwater's Creation Stations are "Vista Premium Ready" - meaning they will run "Aero" with all the options on. The user interface is drawn by the video card instead of the CPU, so you get all the shiny effects, glass reflections, shadows, and the 3D-rendered window animations. —

If you do decide to install Vista on your Creation Station, we recommend increasing the amount of RAM in your machine, as Vista uses more than XP by default.

Sweetwater will begin shipping Creations Stations with Vista installed once we and all of our software partners have been able to thoroughly test the new operating system, and when we're able to assure our customers that a Vista-equipped Creation Station will best serve their audio/music production needs.

Our Customers Say...

I can talk to my Sales Engineer about any piece of equipment, and he always steers me in the right direction. He truly knows what he's talking about, and he never tries to over-sell me on anything. If he worked in the Nashville area, I'd probably owe him about 20 dinners by now!
