Importing in Kontakt

Can Kontakt access/read different sample formats in performance at the same time; Akai, EXS24, and so on?

According to Daniel Fisher, "Native Instruments Kontakt 2 does not import in real time. You import and then save the original Instrument as a Kontakt 2 Instrument, at which point you can access it just like any other Kontakt sound. There's a full list of the supported import formats on the Native Instruments site.
