Kontakt Question

Realistically, how many tracks/instruments can Native Instruments' Kontakt load or access at one time? As many as 25 or more, do you think? I realize it has unlimited voice potential, based on the computer's RAM and processor.

According to Daniel Fisher, our Direct of Product Optimization:

"A single instance of Kontakt 2 can have up to 64 Instruments loaded at once. (A x 16, B x 16, C x 16, D x 16)

"I frequently have 32 instruments ready to play, plus B4 II, plus Ivory, on an Intel Mac mini 1.83GHz with 2MB RAM with no problems. It all has to do with setting the DFD (Direct From Disk) values exactly for your situation."
