Reamping: Not Just for Amps

Think that you can only use a reamp device, such as the Radial Engineering JCR Reamp for driving an amplifier? Think again! You can use a reamper to drive any instrument-level input, such as those on a guitar or bass stompbox, with the line-level output from your DAW or recorder.

But how do you get that stompbox output back into your line-level DAW input? Two ways: run it into a guitar or bass amp and mic it up or take the output from the stompbox into the DI input on a mic preamp.

Think of the tonal possibilities for all types of signals (not just guitars or basses) you can achieve if you bring your pedalboard or guitar/bass multieffects processor into your studio signal path!
