Soap bar
- "Soap bar" is a common nickname for a P90-style single-coil pickup that resembles a small, rectangular bar of soap. The P90 was Gibson's first successful single-coil pickup, created in the '50s, and has subsequently been utilized on guitars from several manufacturers. Soap bar pickups are designed to mount to the body of a solid-body guitar - like a Gibson Les Paul Faded Double Cut - with two screws that go through the middle of the pickup.
