Troubleshooting
- If you own anything electronic (or even just electric) at some time or other you'll run into a problem: Your synthesizer won't make a sound, your mixer has a hum on channels one through eight, your software isn't allowing you to save your file... Well, you get the picture. Troubleshooting is a word that has evolved to mean searching for the reason behind a malfunction and (hopefully) fixing it. Today, almost every electronic product or software package with a manual includes a troubleshooting chapter, which is a list of common problems with their causes and potential cures.
