Tower Computer: A type of non-portable computer designed with a vertical form factor (as opposed to a desktop computer, which usually has a horizontal form factor. Like a desktop computer, a tower computer requires a separate video display/monitor, QWERTY keyboard, and other peripherals. Tower computers generally are the most expandable of all personal computer types, with the highest number of expansion slots and connectivity for external gear.
