Touch Pad: This is a type of control input device that is capable of sensing the presence of a finger and, in some instances, the position of the finger, as well as the amount of downward pressure and even the actual area covered by the fingertip. It then puts out a corresponding control voltage. It does this without the use of any externally visible moving parts.
