Sync Track
- A timing reference signal that has been recorded on tape, which consists of a sync tone containing (typically) 24, 48, or 96 pulses per quarter-note. A sync track is intended to be patched directly to devices such as drum machines and sequencers that will accept the appropriate clock input, as distinguished from a click track, which was designed to be listened to by a human musician.
