Sub-audio
- This is generally regarded as any frequencies below the lowest threshold of human hearing, which is usually put at about 20 hertz (or cycles per second). Sub-audio is typically perceived as a sort of rhythmic throbbing rather than a continuous tone, and is felt more than heard. However, very few transducers are capable of outputting these low frequencies outside of specially equipped audio laboratories.
