Standard Tuning
- Though it can refer to any stringed instrument, this term is most commonly used to refer to the traditional 6-string guitar tuning: E (82.4Hz), A (110Hz), D (146.8Hz), G (196Hz), B (246.9Hz), E (329.6Hz), from low to high. This tuning evolved to allow for easy fingering of many chords while also allowing for many single-position scale fingerings.
