Sealed Enclosure
- Aka "acoustic suspension." A speaker cabinet design that is completely sealed, with no ports and a full back. A sealed enclosure contains the back wave from the speaker in the box, so that sound is only emitted from the front of the cabinet. Sealed enclosures are not as efficient as other designs, but they can handle more power, will exhibit extended low end response, and provide good transient response.
