Merge Files
- Merging is the process of combining two or more edited files into a single new version of the file. In the context of audio recording, merging separate regions of audio can allow you to create new sounds and effects. It also makes it easier to copy and paste sections of a song. Merging becomes particularly useful when you wish to import audio tracks from one DAW to another for mixing. Depending on how your record your individual parts, a 32-track song may wind up with hundreds of regions or soundbites. It's much easier to keep track of, name, and import 32 tracks.
