Mega
A prefix meaning million or 10 to the power of 6. Often abbreviated with an upper case M. It is used in front of words like byte (Megabyte), Hertz (abbreviated MHz), watt (Megawatt) and other measurements of quantity to denote a quantity of a million. A megawatt is one million watts. 30 megabytes is 30 million bytes, etc.
