Lowland Pipe
A type of 18th-century Scottish bagpipe also known as a "Border pipe." These are bellows-blown with three drones, of which one may sound a fifth above the root note. The melody is played on a chanter that is narrower and less harsh or edgy than those of the so-called Highland pipes.
