Kilobit
- Abbreviated "kb" or "kbit." For data storage purposes, a kilobit is an amount of computer data generally assumed to be equal to 1,024 bits, though technically, "kilo" indicates 10 to the power of three, or 1,000. See also "kilo vs Kilo" and "kibi." In data transmission, a kilobit is generally assumed to be 1,000 bits per second.
