Group Delay
- In layman's terms Group Delay is the amount of time it takes for a signal to pass through a circuit. Oftentimes group delay is measured and plotted versus frequency, as some frequencies may take longer to pass through a circuit than others due to the reactive nature of certain components. Group delay is most often paid attention to on EQ's and filters as the group delay of some frequencies versus others play a part in how the final result will be affected by the process due to the phase of the signal at some frequencies being changed relative to others.
